Despite causing controversy at the MTV Video Music Awards in recent years, Miley Cyrus has been invited back - and this time she's hosting.
The singer revealed the news on social media, sharing pictures of herself wearing an alien costume and a sandwich board.
The boards read "MTV won't let me perform" and "so I'm hosting this year's VMAs".
She made headlines two years ago after twerking with Robin Thicke.
At that performance she wore a nude latex outfit, accessorised with a giant foam finger.
In 2014 she invited Jesse Helt, a young homeless man, on to the stage to accept her video of the year trophy.
There have been plenty of other memorable moments at the VMAs over the years.
Kanye West got on stage and interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech in 2009, while both Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera each had a kiss with Madonna during the show in 2003.
This year's MTV VMAs will take place on 30 August at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. They will air live on MTV.
